Pupil referral units

Pupil referral units or alternative curriculum provision settings can apply for transport through the transport team, where the child has been permanently excluded from a school. The team will assess their eligibility to receive transport assistance in accordance with Kent's policy.

As from April 2014, all provisions will be provided with their own budgets to organise transport if it is for children who are attending but have not been permanently excluded. In some cases, schools can be asked to contribute towards the cost of the transport.
