A message from Matt Dunkley CBE:
5 October 2020 weekly update
5 October 2020
This week, Matt provides an update on the EEFective Kent Project.
Dear Colleagues
You may remember at the Headteacher Briefings last year we spoke to you about a partnership we were developing with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).
A large feature of this partnership was the opportunity for Kent schools to be part of the EEFective Kent Project to deliver innovative and proven approaches to improve pupil outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged children with access to additional funding .
Since April, the team have been working hard to ensure that the wide range of interventions on offer have all been adapted to work during Covid-19 and they all come with strong evidence of improving progress and support to close gaps. The range of topics include, Delivering Online Learning, SEND and Learning Behaviours, Characteristics of Deprivation and Training and Retaining Great Teachers. All are being delivered by the EEF’s Research Schools and are based on the EEF’s latest Guidance Reports
Some key deadlines coming up:
- The deadline for applying for the Promising Projects funding is 26 October.
- Apply and book places for taster sessions for the Evidence-Based Training which aims to respond to the issues identified by you. Please book now on Kelsi to secure your place.
