EEFective Kent Project: new opportunities

The Kent Associate Research School has launched three new Evidence-based Training Programmes that will be delivered this academic year which have been subsidized by the EEFective Kent Project. The EEFective Kent Project has also announced limited funding for Kent schools towards Embedding Formative Assessment.

The EEFective Kent Project is now in its final year and we are pleased to announce new opportunities that are available to eligible* Kent schools, which are:

  • Three new evidence-based training programmes which the EEFective Kent Project is subsiding for Kent schools with fully funded support from an Evidence Leader in Education (ELE).
  • Limited funding towards Embedding Formative Assessment following the accreditation of two Kent based Embedding Formative Assessment Mentors.

Further information about each of these opportunities and the funding available is detailed below.

*To be eligible for funding from the EEFective Kent Project, a school must be a publicly funded Kent County School or academy. Further information about the eligibility criteria to receive the match-funding is on the EEFective Kent Project webpage.

Further information about each course, dates, prices and booking details, are available via the links above. Kent schools can access this subsidized rate for up to two courses.

Embedding Formative Assessment: Introducing our Newly Appointed Kent EFA Mentors

Embedding Formative Assessment (EFA) was one of our most popular Promising Projects offered as part of the Promising Project strand of the EEFective Kent Project. To ensure that there is a sustainable legacy and that this programme remains accessible beyond the lifetime of the project, we have supported the development and training of two Kent-based EFA Mentors who have now started to deliver training with the provider, SSAT.

The EEFective Kent Project has a limited amount of funding available this academic year only, for Kent schools to bring EFA to their school at the 50% match-funded rate. To find out more, take a look at the Promising Project prospectus (PDF, 1.7 MB) or contact the EEFective Kent Project Team who can link you up with one of our EFA Mentors to discuss further by emailing EEFectiveKentProject@kent.gov.uk.

To request funding for your school towards EFA, please submit a short expression of interest to EEFectiveKentProject@kent.gov.uk. The expression of interest must have approval from your headteacher and they need to be copied in if not submitting it themselves. This offer is open to primary, secondary and special schools. Further information is available on the EEFective Kent Project webpage.

Further opportunities and funding will become available later in the year and we look forward to sharing these with you in due course, including our plans for an EEFective Kent Project Celebration Event later in the year.
