Armed Service Pupils’ Voice Conference - 23rd June 2016

As part of the ongoing development and awareness-raising to support schools with service families, the Kent & Medway Civilian Military Partnership is organising a conference specifically for children from service families who are in Key Stages 2 and 3.

The aim of the conference is to gather the views of service pupils in a sample of Kent & Medway schools and find out how schools support them and celebrate their experiences. The day will be facilitated by Mr Matt Blyton who is a lead improvement advisor from North Yorkshire with an expertise in working with armed service families.

The outcomes of the day will be compiled into a report which will be shared with the participating schools and then fed back to the Partnership.

Schools with significant numbers of service children have been particularly targeted, but we are also keen to have some children from schools which have very few service children.

If you have a service child in Key Stage 2 or 3 that would be interested in participating in this conference, please contact Alice McLean on 03000 41 64 66 or email her at alice.mclean@kent.gov.uk.
