Brilliant Summer Holiday Activities For Children at Bore Place

Activities available for the first time include Tracking and Trailing, Got the Bug and Crafting By the Campfire. Or why not join us for one of our established sessions, like Pizza Making or Cow Cookie Baking?

"It was a great mix of watching, learning and having fun - and a great idea to have some things to eat there and then, and others to bring home. The tour round the farm was a bonus we were not expecting. Myself and my two children really enjoyed the whole morning."

Here are some highlights:

Teddy Bears’ Picnic

Monday 31 July and Tuesday 8 August - 10am-1pm

Explore our vegetable garden and spot bears hiding among the seasonal produce. Bake delicious scones, meet our herd of dairy cows and enjoy a picnic together with teddy bears (and a story or two) in the Green Man Glade.

Most suited to children aged 3 - 6 (Teddy Bears come along for free!)

Den Building

Wednesday 2 August, Friday 11 August and Thursday 17 August - 10am-1pm

Have fun in the great outdoors building a den and test it to see how waterproof it is.

Most suited to children aged 7-12

Campfire Cook Up

Tuesday 22 August - 10am-1pm

Build and light a campfire and learn how to cook a selection of tasty snacks over the fire. Get creative with seasonal produce from the garden, forage for ingredients and leave inspired with ideas for your next camping trip.
