Children’s Mental Health Week (6 to 12 February 2023)

This Children’s Mental Health Week the theme is ‘Lets Connect’. The aim is to promote and support meaningful connections for young people that are healthy and rewarding.

Kent Youth Voice are supporting meaningful connections through the launch of the Building Resilience board game and the Mental Health Friends Handbook both of which have been developed by young people.

The game provides tips and advice to improve resilience and is a great activity for engaging and helping young people to connect with others. You can watch an introductory video about the game

The Mental Health Friends Handbook gives young people aged 13 to 16 years the confidence to respond if someone they know is experiencing poor mental health and the knowledge of how important their own mental health and wellbeing is. Despite its new release, 43,267 copies of this booklet have already been ordered. To learn more about the handbook and how it was developed view this video

Settings across Kent and Medway can order up to 1,000 copies of The Mental Health Friend Handbook and in Kent one copy of the board game from Kent Youth Voice
