Citizens Advice - Kent Advice Hub service

The Kent Advice Hub is a free, confidential, independent and impartial advice service.

It is aimed at helping people in Kent who would like advice with a problem they are facing through video call. The service operates between Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

The service is led by Citizens Advice in North and West Kent (CANWK) in partnership with local Citizens Advice offices in Kent. It is part-funded by Kent County Council.

Advice and support are given on a range of issues, including energy, benefits, money and debt, housing and immigration issues.

You can access the service by using one of thirty-seven kiosks (and counting) which have been installed in community places across Kent. Citizens Advice are using video advice as a way to provide a more accessible advice service to those who need it most.

The goal is to help everyone find a way forward - whoever they are, whatever problem they face.

How to get advice and support

  1. Make a video call, on your digital device from home, by visiting the Kent Advice Hub website
  2. Make a video call by using your local video kiosk at a community place in Kent - find your local kiosk to see locations and service timings (as these may differ to the general service timings mentioned above).

Video kiosks placed in community places allow people, who may not be digitally confident, to access alternative face-to-face advice. Someone will be available to help you make a video call or alternatively there will be a set of instructions on how you can make the call yourself.

During the video call, you will be able to see and speak with a Citizens Advice advisor.

This service is complimentary to other existing services that your local Citizens Advice provides.

If you are struggling with the continuous cost of living crisis and need advice, we are here to help you.
