Deadline extended for book review contest

Teachers still have the chance to win a top prize for setting a brilliant book review competition as class activity.

The fun contest, run by the KM Charity Team, is offering fantastic rewards for one lucky pupil as well as a member of school staff who has encouraged participation.

Organisers have extended the deadline to noon on 19 May, allowing even more book-loving youngsters the chance to write a creative review of their favourite read.

The individual who submits the written work of at least one class will be entered into a prize draw to win a mini spa day at The Reef. Entries can be the children’s original work on physical paper, sent by post. For postal entries, make sure the child’s full name, age, class name and school are written on the reverse of each entry and allow time for the entries to be delivered by the deadline of 19 May.

Online submissions using a simple form at the KM Charity Team’s website are also welcome.

The winning pupil will receive a signed copy of The Whisperer by top children’s author Nick Butterworth, plus the chance to meet arts and crafts superstar Phil Gallagher of CBeebies’ Mister Maker fame.
