Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre (ECRC)

A not-for-profit police company established in 2021 to provide cyber resilience awareness and affordable services to small and medium sized businesses, schools, charities and the third sector across the East of England.

The Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre (ECRC) is a not-for-profit police company established in 2021 to provide cyber resilience awareness and affordable services to small and medium sized businesses, schools, charities and the third sector across the East of England. The East of England comprises seven counties - Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.

Free membership provides a wide range of benefits and includes a monthly newsletter containing sector specific blog content, regular threat assessments as they arise, invitations to webinars and signposting to free NCSC tools and services - including Police Cyber Alarm and the NCSC Early Warning System. The centre is part of the Police Protect network and can call on trained Police Cyber Protect Officers to come to your school to deliver a number of free in person cyber services.

All schools who sign up are invited to participate in a free Little Steps Program for Cyber Essentials, which allows members to prepare themselves for the government approved Cyber Essentials certification. This gives significant protection to cyber threats and accredited organisations may also opt in for £25000 worth of free cyber insurance.

All members are invited to complete a vulnerability assessment and will be given the opportunity to discuss their current cyber security posture with a member of the ECRC team. Members can also take advantage of a number of affordable and professional cyber services provided by our cadre of university undergraduates.

The CRCs occupy a unique place in the cyber landscape, working with policing, government, academia and the commercial sector to provide a high quality service to organisations looking to improve their cyber resilience in a high threat environment.
