Competition to WIN a British Recycled Plastic picnic table

The Department for Education's Strategy for Sustainability and Climate Change states that by 2025, all education settings will have a nominated sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan.

Kent County Council offers support for schools in this area via the Greener Kent Schools programme. If schools would like to sign up for updates about this support, then please complete this survey.

Greener Kent Schools is running a competition for one school to win a British Recycled Plastic picnic table.

To enter, the school should send in a copy of their School Climate Action Plan to greenerkent@kent.gov.uk by 31st July 2025.

Terms and Conditions for the British Recycled Plastic Picnic Table Competition

  1. Eligibility: The competition is open to all schools covering ages 4-18, across the Kent County Council area. Each school is allowed one entry.
  2. How to Enter: To enter, schools must submit their School Climate Action Plan via email to greenerkent@kent.gov.uk by 31st July 2025. Late entries will not be accepted. Any CAPs submitted since 1st September 2024 will be included in the entries.
  3. Entry Limit: Only one entry per school is permitted. Multiple entries from the same school will be rejected.
  4. Selection of Winner: The winning school will be selected at random on Friday, 5th September 2025. The winner will be notified via email.
  5. Winner Notification: The winning school will have 7 days from the date of the notification email to respond and confirm their acceptance of the prize. If the winner does not respond within this timeframe, an alternative winner will be selected at random.
  6. Prize: The prize is a British Recycled Plastic Brown Denholme Picnic Table. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
  7. Prize Delivery: Upon confirmation of acceptance, the winning school's contact details will be passed on to British Recycled Plastic for the delivery of the prize.
  8. Data Protection: By entering the competition, schools agree to the use of their contact details for the purpose of administering the competition and delivering the prize.
  9. General Conditions: The organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible.
