Grenfell Fire Incident

In light of the Grenfell fire incident last week, a review is being undertaken across KCC, which requires a mandatory audit to be completed.

Following the Grenfell Fire incident last week, the County Council is undertaking a systematic check across its estate to identify any buildings of a similar construction. As you are aware Fire Risk Assessments are a school delegated responsibility and in order to collate the latest position across the schools estate, we are issuing a mandatory fire audit return to all schools for which KCC has a management responsibility. In the meantime please review your procedures, further guidance is available here. In addition KCC is undertaking a fire safety audit of all premises including schools.

You are required to fill in this Fire Safety Audit Return form (XLSX, 149.7 KB) and return it to enquiries@gen2.co.uk.

Gen2 are co-ordinating Kent County Council’s fire safety review and it is important that the form is returned by 27 June 2017.
