Become a Trustee of Kent Music
Kent Music is a long established music education charity providing instrumental music lessons, local music centres, advanced (county) ensembles and choirs, an annual summer school and special projects and celebrations across the county. Kent Music also leads the music education hub for Kent which is a partnership of organisations that come together to deliver the national plan for music education in Kent, supported with funding from the Department of Education.
Central to the work of Kent Music is to support and develop music in schools and the organisation is currently seeking interest from heads and senior leaders from primary and secondary schools who would like to become trustees of the charity.
The trustees are drawn from schools, higher and further education and the worlds of the arts and business. They meet four times a year and their remit is to agree the strategic direction of the charity, work with the executive team to manage its work and ensure that it financially accountable.
