Information Security: Changes to KCC email

KCC email has changed and is now whitelisted by government as being a secure means of sending sensitive and confidential information to other whitelisted organisations.
The government has announced the ending of its GSI/GCSX secure email service. Kent County Council has followed government advice and adopted the new Government Secure Standard. We have now closed our GCSX email service and you could now be receiving secure emails from our kent.gov.uk domain. Egress services are still in use but these will end in 2018 and be moved over to a secure option within Microsoft Outlook.
School email addresses are secure only if they are TLS-enabled. If they are not then Egress should continue to be used or documents should be passworded to ensure end-to-end security.
