KCC School Transport response to COVID-19 Omicron variant

KCC has maintained throughout the pandemic that staff employed on school contracts should wear face coverings, so our message is to now reenforce this as a mandatory requirement. We are also reminding of the need for regular testing, heightened cleaning regimes and have included the updated advice about the need to isolate if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the new variant.

Families will be contacted directly to advise on the mandatory need for all passengers of secondary school age pupils to wear a face covering on all forms of transport unless exempted. We will also encouraging passengers of all ages to wear one where they can.

KCC would appreciate schools taking every opportunity to reinforce these messages through your school community.
