KCC’s Keep Kent Clean campaign

Will you be one of the many schools up and down the country taking part in the national Great British Spring Clean campaign this March?

The brand new Great British Spring Clean, backed by Keep Britain Tidy and supported by TV wildlife presenter and children’s favourite Steve Backshall, aims to get half a million people out and about cleaning up their local communities this March.

Many schools are planning to organise their own school clean-ups, with both pupils and staff getting involved in picking up litter in school grounds.

Litter remains a huge problem across the country, causing harm to the environment and wildlife, with councils in England having to spend over £700 million on street cleaning services every year.

KCC is also taking part, with spring clean events planned in some of its country parks to coincide with the main campaign events on 3-5 March, as well as our own highways cleaning activities and supporting local litter picks taking place across the county.

To register your support for the campaign or set up your own clean up event visit the Great British Spring Clean website

The KCC Communications Team will be promoting Keep Kent Clean activities throughout February and March on both traditional media and social media so don’t forget to tell us what you’re doing so we can include your school in promotions.
