Key Stage Data Collections guidance notes

2024 editions are now available to download.

Guidance notes regarding the completion and submission of the 2024 statutory EYFSP, Phonics and KS2 Teacher Assessments are now available to download from Cantium.

If you have a support contract they can be found on the Cantium website

If you do not have a Cantium support contract, please contact your supplier for detailed guidance on how you can enter the statutory pupil level data for each key stage.

Guidance on the eligible outcomes for each key stage and information on how to return your EYFS and Phonics files to Management Information can be found on the Key Stage Data Collections page

Guidance on how to submit for KS2 will be available on the same page as soon as the Primary Assessment Gateway opens for submissions.

As it is no longer statutory to report KS1 TA outcomes to the DfE, we will not be asking schools to submit any data for KS1.

We have also produced an overview document for schools who use ESS SIMS but do not have a support contract with Cantium together with brief “export and submit” guidance for schools using Arbor, Bromcom and Pupil Asset which we hope will assist schools who use these systems. These can also be found on the Kelsi page listed above.

Last submission dates:

  • EYFSP - Friday 28 June 2024
  • Phonics - Tuesday 25 June 2024***
  • KS2 TA - Friday 28 June 2024**

** As in previous years Management Information will not be collecting, cleansing or forwarding to the Primary Assessment Gateway any KS2 Teacher Assessment outcomes in 2024. Instead, all schools will have to submit their own data to the Primary Assessment Gateway and amend any errors by Friday 28 June.

*** Please ensure that you only return Phonics scores for all Year 1 pupils and those Year 2 pupils who needed to retake the test, not all Year 2 pupils.

It is our intention to provide schools with a pupil level report of the data they have submitted (EYFSP and Phonics only) before the final DfE deadlines. This is to ensure that there are no data entry errors that will be carried forward into your School Summary Reports and ASP.

Once we have processed your data, a pupil level file will be transferred to you through Perspective Lite.

We will email you at the same time to let you know the file has been uploaded.
