News on our expanded service for schools.

Management Information is pleased to announce the expansion of our traded service to schools. In addition to purchasing your training courses (Preparing for the School Census, Preparing for the School Workforce Census, FFT Aspire, Understanding and Using Data, Getting Data Fit for Ofsted) through Kent CPD Online, we are now offering schools the opportunity to purchase our data analysis products. These include:

  • The relaunched and expanded Making Figures Speak for Themselves which includes new analysis to reflect the changes to the curriculum with a greater focus on the attainment of pupil groups such as Disadvantaged and Pupil Premium.
  • The School Summary Sheet which offers a concise profile of school contextual and attainment data, ideal for senior leaders and governors. This will remain free of charge for all schools who have a current data sharing agreement* with Management Information. For all other schools the charge will be £75.

*The purpose of this Data Exchange Agreement is to enhance the ability of the school and Kent County Council to support the learning and welfare of children through the exchange and use of information not otherwise readily available to the partner organisations.

The information exchanged routinely between the school and KCC will be at minimum, the data items within every DfE termly School Census, the statutory data items required for the tracking of young people, and actual Key Stage school and pupil level results and analysis at appropriate and relevant levels. Data will also be exchanged between KCC and the school according to the automated weekly return cycle, provided the school operates SIMS as its information management system.
