Operation Tinwald - Bomb threats and hoax calls

Operation Tinwald is the South West Counter Terrorism Intelligence unit led investigation into the series of bomb threats made to schools around the UK.

The bomb hoax calls, whilst causing considerable disruption and alarm were not assessed to be terrorist related.

We have received information that UK educational establishments may well receive Operation Tinwald threats over the next few days.

Any such communications of threats are a crime and should be reported to the police by dialling 999.

It is important that you are alert but not alarmed.
