Year 2 Phonics Screening Check for Autumn 2021.
The DfE have announced that all schools must administer a past version of the phonics screening check to all Year 2 pupils which needs to be completed during the second half of the 2021 Autumn term.
The version of SIMS that you need to complete this return will be released by Cantium (EIS) during November - this date has yet to be confirmed.
Guidance notes on how to enter your scores into SIMS and return them to us will be on Kelsi after the SIMS upgrade has been released. We will let you know through the e-bulletin when these are available for you to download.
For schools who do not use ESS (Capita) SIMS, please contact your software supplier for details on how to enter the scores into the system you have in your school.
The DfE have stated in the Assessment and Reporting Arrangements document that all schools should submit their Year 2 Phonics Screening Check pupil results to LAs by the end of term. To enable us to have sufficient time to process and clean the data please transfer your results file through Perspective Lite by Friday 10 December.
Full details on how to do this will be included in the guidance released next month.
