Phonics Year 2 Retakes Pupil File

Management Information will shortly be uploading a file for each eligible primary and special school to Perspective Lite containing details of which pupils in year 2 need to retake the Phonics test in June.

All year 2 pupils are included in the file, the ones who need to retake the test are highlighted in purple. If the year 1 score/outcome is blank for a child this means that we have been unable to find a score for them. DfE guidance states that if a pupil did not take the Phonics test in year 1 they should be considered for the test in year 2. Schools should also consider whether pupils who were disapplied from the test last year need to be disapplied again in 2016.

An automatic email will be generated by Perspective Lite/Angel Solutions and sent to schools when the file is ready to be downloaded.

We extracted the pupil information from the January 2016 School Census. If you have had new pupils joining year 2 since then and you do not know what their year 1 score was, please email their UPN to us at management.information@kent.gov.uk and we will look up their 2015 scores for you.
