Recycle your batteries - Rewards for schools guaranteed

The Power Up To Recycling challenge is back. Your school can receive rewards based on the weight of batteries you collect for recycling.

The Power Up To Recycling challenge is back for a 5th year. Every Kent school that participates will receive a reward*. We are asking Kent schools to encourage pupils, parents and staff to bring as many spent domestic batteries as possible into school for recycling.

The challenge runs from 1 May to 1 December 2017.

Schools will be rewarded for recycling with a Kent County Supplies voucher, based on the weight of batteries they collect. Vouchers are provided by Valpak (who recycle batteries on behalf of Kent County Council).

For more information and to take part, simply register your school by 28 April 2017 and be ready to start the challenge in May.

*Minimum 1kg of batteries required to receive a reward.
