Safer Internet Day 2017 Education Packs now available

The UK Safer Internet Centre have published free education packs to support schools taking part in Safer Internet Day 2017.

Safer Internet Day (SID) 2017 will take place on Tuesday 7 February with the theme ‘Be the change: unite for a better internet’. To help schools, youth groups, police services, libraries and other organisations run activities for Safer Internet Day 2017, the UK Safer Internet Centre have created free Education Packs and complementary SID TV films tailored for children aged 5-7, 7-11, 11-14 and 14-18 and also content for use with parents and carers. The packs include lesson plans, posters, presentations, activities and more.

Additional resources, including a quiz, social media pack and a photography project will be made available on the UK Safer Internet Centre website in the next few weeks.

Kent schools and education settings are encouraged to use these resources as part of their SID 2017 celebrations with pupils and parents. Schools can also contact the Education Safeguarding Adviser (Online Protection) and e-Safety Development Officer within the Education Safeguarding Team to share their SID 2017 ideas and activities.

Please visit and subscribe to the Kent eSafety blog for more information about SID 2017 and Online Safety.
