School Peer Review

An invitation to a briefing about the Education Development Trust’s Schools Partnership programme and an opportunity to join an EEF-funded trial.

School leaders in Kent have identified peer review as a useful and productive way of supporting school improvement, building strong networks and enabling school-to-school support.

As part of the Kent Leaders in Leadership Strategy, KAH is pleased to be working in partnership with the Education Development Trust to invite Kent schools to engage in EDT’s Schools Partnership Programme (SPP).

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) will be funding a large trial of the programme from January 2018 to July 2020. This national research will involve 300 schools and is designed to evaluate the impact of rigorous cluster-based approach to peer review and school-to-school support on improving KS2 pupil outcomes.

  • Are you interested in securing improvement and learning from and with other schools?
  • Do you want access to high quality leadership training?
  • Are you keen to take part in national education research?

If so, you are invited to attend a briefing to find out more about the project and how to get involved.

Monday 16 October
9:30am- 11am - Blean Primary School, Whitstable Rd, Canterbury CT2 9ED
12:30pm-2pm - Highworth School, Ashford, Maidstone Rd, Ashford TN24 8UD
4pm-5:30pm - Shoreham Village School, Church St, Shoreham, Sevenoaks TN14 7SN

Who can take part?

EDT will be working with clusters of schools (between 3-7 schools) - schools cannot sign up individually, so come with colleagues from a cluster or talk to your Area Board Chair about joining a local cluster.

The research will focus on impact on KS2 outcomes. Secondary schools are welcome to join, access the training and work as part of a cluster but their outcomes will not form part of the evaluation.

How to book a place

Please email Sharon.Batchelor@kent.gov.uk to book your place at one of the briefings.

If you are unable to attend but wish, on behalf of a cluster of schools, to express a commitment to the project, please contact the same address and we will forward your details to EDT. You can contact EDT directly at partnerships@educationdevelopmenttrust.com.
