Senior mental health lead training launch update - DfE

The DfE are encouraging schools and colleges committed to implementing a whole school or colleges approach to mental health to begin booking quality assured training for their senior mental health lead.
The DfE guidance is regularly updated with further information and links to tools to help senior mental health leads to select and book one of over sixty-five courses available to meet their needs, and apply for a grant of up to £1,200 grant from DfE to cover or contribute towards costs incurred.
Grants are available for around a third of all state schools and colleges in the 2021 to 2022 financial year, with the aim of offering grants to all settings by 2025. New settings will need to apply for a grant before they book a course. Grants will be allocated on a first come, first served basis until we have issued all available funds.
