Support for Hong Kong British Nationals Overseas pupils and students.

Hong Kong Well is a charity commissioned by KCC to run support for Hong Kong British Nationals Overseas (HKBNO).

They have arranged a webinar for teachers and school leaders where they will share general information about cultural differences between Hong Kong and the UK, the challenges that HKBNO pupils may be facing and the services and support that they have to offer. Further information can be found below including the links to sign up for the webinar.

Many of you have already seen or heard about the surge of Hong Kong student admissions in local schools. They are members of the 600+ families who have moved to Kent and Medway from Hong Kong under a special visa scheme of the UK Government. More are on their way. Helping them to integrate is vital for the community’s long-term benefits.

Supporting Hong Kong immigrant children’s mental wellbeing

It is against this backdrop that KCC commissioned us, Hong Kong Well UK, to run a six month programme. We are a group of teachers, social workers, clinical psychologists and counsellors from Hong Kong. Our mandate is set to support these young migrants in emotional distress and coping difficulties in the UK. Our Cantonese speaking and professionally trained team provides free advisory and counselling services.

Thank you for your continued efforts in promoting immigrant students’ integration and wellbeing

Local educators have always played an instrumental role in assisting immigrant students and their parents to navigate the new learning environment and understand the UK’s school system. Job well-done! Thank You.
