Take action against Domestic Abuse

Join the 16 Days campaign from Monday 25 November to Tuesday 10 December 2024.

Help the Kent and Medway Domestic Abuse Services raise awareness of this devastating crime and signpost people to support as part of the global #16Days of Action movement, by taking part in the End Domestic Abuse campaign

Use the free resources to help you, the people you work with, and your networks and communities to spread the word.

Take action:

  1. Know what domestic abuse is:
    • Sign up for the free virtual training webinars between Monday 25 November and Tuesday 10 December, covering key topics including victim blaming, domestic abuse and extremism and the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people. Register for a webinar here
    • Watch the online training webinar series to learn how to spot the signs and what to say to someone experiencing abuse.
  2. See what change you can make:
    • Share the campaign on your social media using the content calendar. Post every day or once or twice during the 16 Days - it’s up to you. There are a range of posts to choose from. Use the hashtags #KnowSeeSpeakOut #EndDomesticAbuse #16Days
    • Put the End Domestic Abuse poster up in communal spaces.
    • Promote the campaign on your website, in your email signature and during meetings using the free resources. Forward this email to your networks and contacts.
  3. Speak out and signpost people to support:
