The Kent and Medway Primary PE Conference 2019

Kent Sport would like to invite all primary schools in Kent and Medway to its annual primary PE conference at the Kent County Showground. The conference grows from strength-to-strength and, with a new update to the use of the PE and sport premium for Primary schools released, it is essential that all PE coordinators attend.

Workshops on the day will include:

• 'Moving stories', developing literacy and physical literacy (Richard Cheetham MBE, Senior Fellow in Sports Coaching, Winchester University)
• Sustainability and the future of the PE and sport premium funding (Kate Thornton-Bousfield, Head of PE at Youth Sports Trust)
• School swimming: from national recommendations to local delivery (Jon Glenn, Swim and Workforce Director at Swim England)
• As well as so much more...

We are also delighted to announce that Kate Grey, silver and bronze medallist Paralympian, will be joining us for the day. Kate represented Great Britain for ten years, and during that time she competed at European Championships, World Championships and the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. Kate’s story is truly inspirational, and not one to be missed!

The conference will again feature the popular marketplace for you to explore products and services designed specifically for the PE and sport premium funding. Extended time will also be allocated to allow schools the opportunity to network amongst themselves to discuss best practice and any challenges they currently face.

This year will also feature a Q&A session with the guest speakers, allowing you to ask questions that really matter to you.

Lunch will be provided and sports premium funding can be used if your school requires a substitute teacher to cover your absence.
