Modern Foreign Languages - Subject Specialism Training 2016/17

The core five day programme alongside online modules will improve both subject knowledge and classroom practitioner skills, allowing you to confidently teach up to GCSE with an optional add on course for AS/A2 knowledge also available.

Mathematics and Physics - Subject Specialism Training 2016/17

Designed for teachers who are currently teaching Mathematics or Physics outside of their specialism subject, or who wish to offer teaching in Mathematics or Physics. The programme is also suitable for those returning to teaching Mathematics or Physics. The core 5 day programme alongside online modules will improve both subject knowledge and classroom practitioner skills, allowing you to confidently teach up to GCSE with an optional add on course for AS/A2 knowledge also available.

Autism in the Spotlight

Helen Allison School are the lead school in the National Autistic Society and are currently graded outstanding for their autism provision, residential services and most recent Ofsted report. This training will be facilitated by Joanne Neill who is the Principal Speech and Language Therapist and regularly carries out Autism accreditation to provide autism-specific quality assurance for hundreds of organisations throughout the UK and across the world.

Audience

Primary and Secondary teachers  and teaching assistants

  • Understanding Autistic pupils
  • How to integrate autistic pupils into mainstream classrooms
  • Strategies and approaches to deal with behaviour
  • A tour of an specialist Autistic school to see strategies in place.
