The Try Angle Awards 2018 - Nominations online until 20 September 2018

Do you know a young person or group who really do TRY to do their best?

If you do, get nominating at the Try Angle website

It takes just 5 minutes, and anyone can nominate whether a Social Worker, Teacher, Early Help Worker, Parent, Grandparent and so on.

The Awards are in their 24th year and raise the profile of young people aged between 11-18 years in their community who really do TRY, often with little recognition to do their best.

The Try Angle Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of young people across the categories of:

  • Arts - recognising personal achievement in arts, in any form
  • Music - recognising personal achievement in music, in any form.
  • Sport or Outdoor Activities - recognising personal achievement in any sport or outdoor activity, demonstrating fair play and commitment.
  • Community Action - recognising a contribution made to a community e.g. school councils, youth forums, charity work, environmental project and campaigns.
  • Good Friends and Young Carers - recognising those who spend time being a good friend, mentor or carer to another in their family or community.
  • Personal Development - recognising special achievement in education, training or other activities, making changes to improve.
  • Courage - recognising acts of courage displayed with coping bravely with illness or other adversity.
  • Positive Intervention - to recognise an intervention where an individual or group has prevented harm, bullying, discrimination or damage.

All nominations receive a recognition certificate, and following consent entered into District Finals, and the final 24 and guests invited to ‘The Spirit of Try Angle 2018 - County Final’ where the overall winner is announced.
