Warm Home Essentials Two - round five of the Household Support Fund

The ‘Warm Home Essentials professional referral scheme’ is now open for applications.

The aim of this scheme is to provide sustainable longer term energy efficient measures to keep homes warmer, by providing carpeting and curtains to those that meet the scheme eligibility criteria (PDF, 38.4 KB) - document includes details of priority households.

The scheme will run until 31 July 2024 or until funds have been spent.

The scheme is open to people living in social housing only - Local Authority owned dwellings or Private Registered Providers (PRPs such as Housing Associations) stock.

We will not be supporting any temporary housing tenures as this scheme has been designed to provide long-term impact measures to households.

Please do not promote scheme details wider than your relevant colleagues supporting the specific target groups mentioned above.

Application process

All applications will be assessed by the Project Team to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. Applications that do not meet the criteria but have a supporting statement from the referrer detailing why this support should be provided, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Awards

Once an application is approved, both the referrer and applicant will be notified by email which will detail ‘next steps’. Please find additional information and next steps (PDF, 115.8 KB).

Carpeting

The maximum award is £1,000 per household. Please note we cannot guarantee all rooms will be carpeted, and this decision will be made on a case-by-case basis if the application passes the assessment stage. Carpets will be provided by Carpetright - an appointment will be made to measure and fit carpets as part of their normal service.

Curtains

The maximum award is £200 per household. Our delivery partner ‘Town and Country Peabody’ will visit the applicants home to measure. Curtains will be from Argos. A curtain pole can also be purchased if required, within the budget.
