Finance Policy – defining limits for cash held on site.

• All schools should state, within their finance policy, the amount of cash that can be held on site
• The model finance policy on KELSI suggests this amount should be kept at a minimum and no higher than £200
• Cash is not covered under general insurance cover
• Extra cover for higher amounts of cash can be purchased if necessary
