Financial Management and Best Practice Tips:

Contingency Plans - processes for managing school finances in the event of a disaster.

  • Back-ups of the school’s systems and data should be taken daily and should be stored in a secure place away from the server and in a fireproof cabinet or safe (unless purchasing remote backup)
  • Manual records of contingency plans for processes and policies should be kept so they can be quickly referred
    to in the event of a system failure

Kent Special Schools - Finance staff who will be involved in using the Budget Planning Software to produce monitoring reports for strategic stakeholders are invited to the Budget Monitoring for Kent Special Schools - using the Budget Planning Software (BPS) 2016-17 training.
