Winter Challenge activities for schools and families

Schools you can use these activity ideas in their setting or send them home to families.
Schools and families often look for free or low cost activity ideas during December so Kent Children's University has produced a Winter Challenge resource pack (PNG, 689.0 KB).
This Winter Challenge consists of 24 activity ideas that could be completed during school time, as an after-school club or given to families as a homework or voluntary weekend activity. People could complete 1 or all 24.
Ideas include:
- Taking part in the library's Mini-Winter Reading Challenge. This year has a Star Wars theme.
- Making crackers
- Taking Winter walks
- Baking tasty Winter treats
- Writing poetry.
