2018 is the Year of Engineering. Get your pupils involved for free with the Primary Engineer and Secondary Engineer Leaders Award.
The Primary Engineer (PDF, 340.4 KB) and Secondary Engineer (PDF, 333.4 KB) Leaders Award is a free competition for all year groups in Primary, Secondary and Further Education where pupils interview engineers and design solutions to problems they have identified in response to the question, ‘If you were an engineer, what would you do?’
- Meet and interview engineers
- Great for literacy
- Design, creativity and ingenuity combined with problem solving
- Two winners per year group
- Winners invited to awards event with their family and teacher
- Shortlisted and winning designs shown in a public exhibition at University of Southampton and Winchester Science Centre
- One winning design selected by University of Southampton to be made.
