Dover Castle and OCR Showcase Event

Join us at our showcase event at Dover Castle, CT16 1HU on Monday 27 March from 10am until 2pm. The event is free of charge and will provide you with the information and support you need to teach this specification.

An OCR subject specialist will begin by taking you through the new module, making suggestions as to how you can go about organising a course, its assessment and answering any questions you may have.

Paul Pattison, our Senior Properties Historian will give you a tour of Dover Castle outlining the significant aspects of its history. The castle will be closed to all other visitors, so this is a great opportunity to find out all you need to know and to feel confident and informed when delivering your lessons.

As well as the castle itself, we have a fantastic range of sources, documents and artefacts which tell the story of Dover’s rich history. Our curators will guide you through how these sources relate to the events and people in the castle’s past and what they tell us about its changing use. They will all be taken from the specific resource guide we have put together for the specification.

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
