Free Life Skills resource for Secondary Schools

This resource has been developed by KCC Trading Standards to help young people prepare for adult life.
It encourages safe, independent living to reduce the risk of financial harm.
The resource consists of 12 modules, each including:
- teachers notes
- a quiz and answer sheet for students
- teacher score sheet and answers
- printable Certificate of Achievement for students.
Modules include:
- age restricted products
- community safety (PDF, 382.2 KB)
- doorstep crime
- food and hygiene
- home fire safety
- labels
- signs and symbols
- managing money
- safer independent pedestrians
- scams
- shopper's rights
- social media and the internet and who can help. (Cybercrime coming soon).
