On Wednesday 6 December, the Kent Youth County Council Disability Awareness project group led an event, showcasing to professionals from across KCC and Kent schools the experiences of autistic young people in school.

Exploring the difficulties young people face and tips and advice to manage them.

Autistic young people often need more time to understand and prepare for changes and this is especially important when dealing with the physical and emotional changes that come with menstruation (having periods).

In November 19,400 young people aged 11 to 18 years got involved and voted in the Kent Youth County Council elections, deciding their local KYCC Members and the most important issues for young people in Kent.

Includes changes to the ITT and ECF frameworks, an invitation to join our teacher training network, EEF SEND CPD and Early Years opportunities.

These meetings are aimed at finance staff in Kent Schools, in particular anyone who is a Finance Officer, Bursar, Business Manager etc. can attend free of charge.

The Kent PEP for EYFS and KS1 to KS4 has been reviewed and updated.
