IG training
The Information Commissioner's Office is the UK's independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public's interest. They provide a set of useful training and information films about the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the GDPR
It is important for schools to understand their obligations under the GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and to assist we can provide face to face training.
Our training courses on GDPR and Records Management are aimed at Headteachers and governors (the decision makers of the school) and anyone who is likely to deal with front line enquiries from pupils and the public. This training should take approximately 2 hours allowing some time for questions. However, we can deliver shorter training programmes specifically for Data Protection, Freedom of Information or Information Security, which would take approximately 1 hour. We do make a charge for this training at £40 an hour plus travelling expenses.
Together with Schools Personnel Service we have developed a GDPR e-learning course which is available to all school staff. This course will provide an overview of the new legislation and what the changes will mean for your schools. To take the course please visit Kent CPD Online. Once you have completed the course and submitted the evaluation form the system will generate a certificate.
