Participation and Progression Groups

A forum for education providers and supporting agencies such as Youth Contract providers and those in KIASS to broker provision for young people in years 11, 12 and 13 who are not in learning and to intervene positively with those who are at risk of falling out of provision. It creates a partnership between all stakeholders who are involved in supporting the raising of the participation age (RPA).

A key performance indicator for ELS is to reduce the number of 16-18 year olds who are NEET/ not in learning to 1%. This forum is essential to achieving that aim. It supports the work to achieve many of the targets of the 14-24 strategy.
